1) What is OmniSpeech AI Detect™?
OmniSpeech AI Detect™ is a real-time deepfake detection app for Zoom meetings. It helps identify potential AI-generated (deepfake) and/or authenticating voices by analyzing short audio samples during live Zoom meetings.

Participants are designated with color-coded cards indicating real vs AI deepfake with a detection confidence:
 

  • 🔴 Red: Likely AI deepfake — use caution
     

  • 🟡 Yellow: Maybe AI deepfake — use caution
     

  • 🟢 Green: Likely human voice
     

⚙️ Installation & Setup
 

2) How do I install OmniSpeech AI Detect™?
You can install the AI Detect™ app directly from the Zoom App Marketplace by following these steps:
 

  1. Use this link (https://marketplace.zoom.us/apps/Ps2Dh1wNRhiy2TImwyNRZA) or search for “OmniSpeech AI Detect” on the marketplace (or select the 'Download' button at the top of this page.

  2. Click Install and follow the authorization prompts when in a new Zoom meeting.

  3. After installation, the app will appear under your Zoom → Apps → My Apps section.


3) How do I open the AI Detect™ app after installation?
Open any Zoom meeting go to → Apps → My Apps → OmniSpeech AI Detect™ → click to launch.
The app will open inside of your Zoom’s meeting in the right-hand in-meeting panel.
 

4) Do I need to authorize the app before using it?
Yes. When you open the app for the first time:
 

  1. Click 'Authorize App'.

  2. Review and approve the app’s access to meeting data.

  3. Check “Allow this app to use my shared access permissions.” and click 'Allow'.


5) What happens after authorization?

  • If authorization is successful and you’re in a meeting:
    You’ll see: “Meeting in Progress – AI Detect™ will start scanning audio when you press the ‘Start Scan’ button.”

  • If you’re not in a meeting:
    You’ll see: “Join a Zoom meeting to use the AI Detect™ app.”
     

🎯 Using the App
 

6) How do I start a scan during a meeting?

  1. Join a Zoom meeting.

  2. Open OmniSpeech AI Detect™ from the My Apps tab.

  3. Click Start Scan.

    • The button will transition from Initialize Scan... → Scanning Audio...

  4. Each scan lasts 10 seconds and analyzes active speaker audio.
     

7) Does each scan reduce my available scan count?
Yes. Each time you start a scan, your available scans for the meeting decrease by 1.
Once all scans are used, you’ll see the message:
“You’ve reached the maximum scans allowed for this session.”


8) How many scans can I perform per meeting?

 

 

9) What happens if I reach the maximum scans allowed?
When you’ve used all available scans for the meeting, on clicking Start Scan button you’ll see the message: “You’ve reached the maximum scans allowed for this session.”.
If you’re on the Free Plan, an Upgrade button will appear beside Start Scan button to upgrade your plan.

How long does each scan run?
Each scan runs for 10 seconds.

 

10) What happens if a participant is unmuted but not speaking?
Participants who are unmuted but not actively speaking will not be analyzed during the scan.
The app only analyzes audio activity — not mute status.

 

11) What if multiple people are speaking during a scan?
If multiple participants speak at the same time, the app analyzes all participants who have spoken for at least 4 seconds during that scan window.
For highest accuracy, it’s best to scan when only one person is speaking.

 

12) How accurate are the results?
For best results:

  • Run scans when only one participant is speaking.

  • Ensure 4 seconds of clear continuous speech from that participant.
    If multiple people speak during a scan, results may be less accurate.

13) Where can I see the results?
Results appear in the Participants section of the in-app panel, with each analyzed participant displayed using a color-coded border.
The most recently analyzed participant always appears at the top.

 

14) What do the participant colors mean?

Color Meaning

🔴 Red - Likely AI deepfake — use caution

🟡 Yellow - Maybe AI deepfake — use caution

🟢 Green - Likely human voice

All users start on the FREE plan by default.
 

👥 Permissions & Host Access
 

16) Can multiple users in the same meeting run scans?
Yes, however only one participant can run a scan at a time.
If another participant is scanning, others will see:
“Audio is currently being scanned by another participant. You can start your scan when the ‘Start Scan’ button turns green.”
 

17) Can non-host participants run scans?
Yes — but only with host approval.
When a non-host clicks 'Start Scan', the host will receive a request to share meeting content.
Once approved, the scan begins automatically.
 

18) How does the host permission process work for non-hosts?
When a non-host clicks Start Scan, a window appears and sends permission request to the host.
After the request is sent, the scan will begin only after the host grants permission to share meeting content with the app.
 

19) What notifications appear during scanning?

  • When scan starts: “Your app is accessing meeting content.”

  • When scan ends: “Your app is no longer accessing meeting content.”

20) App requirements and Supported Platforms

- Windows and macOS Zoom Desktop Clients

- Zoom Version 6.5.10 or newer

- Mobile/Web Zoom experiences not yet supported

🧩 Troubleshooting
 

21) Why can’t I start a scan?
Possible reasons:

  • You’re not in an active meeting.

  • The app isn’t authorized. See FAQ questions 3 and 4 for more information.

  • Another participant is scanning.

  • You’ve used all available scans with your subscription plan.

  • Your Zoom client is outdated (below 6.5.10).
     

22) What if my authorization fails or expires?
Try refreshing the AI Detect app. 

Try logging out of Zoom and logging back in.

Reopen the AI detect app and reauthorize it.
 

🔐 Privacy & Data
 

23) How does the app handle my data?

  • OmniSpeech AI Detect™ does not store or record meeting audio.

  • Audio is delivered via Zoom's RTMS feature and processed securely in real time to output a result. Audio is discarded automatically and immediately after analysis.

  • Review our [Privacy Policy], [Terms of Use], and [Support] links directly from the app panel. For email support, please allow 24-48 hours for a response from our support team.

24) Can I use the same subscription across multiple devices?
Yes. Subscriptions are tied to your Zoom account and can be used on authorized devices.

 

25) Do all meeting participants need to have the app installed?
No. Only the person initiating the scan needs the app installed.

 

26) Does the app automatically detect AI voices?
No. Detection is on-demand. You must click Start Scan to begin analysis.

 

27) Can I upgrade or cancel my plan anytime?
Yes. You can manage your subscription anytime through your Zoom Marketplace → Manage Subscriptions page.

 

28) Who should use OmniSpeech AI Detect™?
Ideal for:

  • Organizations focused on meeting authenticity and security.

  • Media or research teams verifying speaker identity.

  • Educational and government institutions requiring voice authenticity.
